Welcome to Acer Gardens
We are a family owned and operated retail nursery on 18 acres in Deep River, CT. Acer grows over 1,800 varieties of perennials and annuals, as well as numerous varieties of shrubs and trees. We are known for our extensive selection of Japanese Maples, hence the Latin name Acer.

Amaryllis & Paperwhites
Paperwhites bring a touch of spring indoors. Planted in stone or glass, simply add water to your container, and watch your flowers grow. Small white, fragrant daffodil flowers bloom abundantly for weeks and weeks.
Amaryllis are delightful bulbs that come in an array of colors, from white to pink, and even red stripes! Our top grade bulbs are sold individually or pre-potted for easy enjoyment. Amaryllis make it feel like spring even in these cooler months.
Poinsettias
Our cutting edge, Acer grown poinsettias are started in late summer in our annual growing houses, and carefully cared for to ensure maximum holiday impact. We are growing 16 different varieties this season, available in 4.5", 6.5", and 10" pots. Order now on our online store!
Wreaths, Swags & Green Arrangements
Our custom created wreaths, swags and live green arrangements are sure to put you in the holiday spirit. No two are alike. We use a high quality anti-desiccant to keep our greens fresh and long lasting for season-long enjoyment.
Cut Christmas Trees
Our fresh cut Douglas fir, Fraser fir and Concolor fir come in a wide range of sizes, from 4'-9'. Our helpful staff will give your tree a fresh cut, wrap it, and tie it on to your vehicle -all complimentary. Local delivery will be available for a fee.
We are also offering, live potted Alberta and Norway spruces which can be planted outdoors after the holidays. Potted Red Twig Dogwoods will also be available. Dig your hole now or move plants to an outdoor container for the winter.
Gift Cards
Need a gift for a friend or family member who loves plants and the outdoors? We offer gift cards, with no expiration date, that can be used on anything for sale at the Nursery.
