Bulk Topsoil/Compost Blend Delivered, price starting at 4 cy

Deliveries may include an additional surcharge for certain towns. *Minimum order of 4 yards for delivery.* 

Customer must be present at the time of delivery, or the unloading area must be clearly marked. Our trucks require a 10 foot wide opening on firm, level ground on which to drive and dump material. Loads cannot be split up into multiple locations on a property.

Acer Gardens reserves the final judgement, if inclement weather is unsuitable to make delivery that day.  Delivery day is subject to change.

Acer Gardens is not responsible for property damage done by trucks. Any buried utilities or pipes should be identified ahead of time by the customer. Delivery driver reserves final judgement, if site selection is unsuitable to accommodate our truck. 

Some towns require an additonal Delivery Surcharge. A delivery surcharge is based on the amount of time the truck has to be out on delivery. Our delivery trucks can hold up to 10 yards of material per load and a surcharge would be added for each truckload. (Example: 4-10 yards equals 1 load, but 11-20 yards would incur a second truckload.)

Local towns do not incur a surcharge and include Deep River, Chester, Essex, Ivoryton, Centerbrook,  Westbrook, Clinton, and Killingworth.

A $20 surcharge will be added per truckload for North Madison, Madison, Old Saybrook, and Old Lyme. 

A $35 surcharge will be added per truckload for Haddam, East Haddam, Higganum, and North Guilford.

A $65 surcharge will be added per truckload for Branford, Durham, East Lyme, Hadlyme, Lyme, and Guilford.

A $95 surcharge will be added per truckload for North Branford and Northford.

A $125 surcharge will be added per truckload for East Hampton, East Haven, Middletown, Moodus, New Haven, and Portland.

Premium topsoil/compost blend is a mix of topsoil and compost. This blend is appropriate for topdressing existing and new lawns, vegetable and flower gardens, and soil ammendment for planting. Soil is screened to 3/8"-5/8" inch, with the remaining stones there to prevent soil hardening and compaction. Compost portion is derived from chopped straw, gypsum, lime, aged horse and poultry manure, peat moss, coco hulls, soybean curd and cottonseed meal.  Our soil blend requires NO fertilizer for the first year, and NO lime application for 6-8 years, and is pH adjusted to 6.3-6.6.  This blend should never be used for planted containers.  For containers use a potting mix that provides adequate drainage yet retains sufficient moisture for plant growth.
